Announcements and Updates - August 2021

Hey, all. I've been hesitating to post an update because I'm uncertain about a lot, but I'm going to try. I've been trying to figure out what direction to take with Bubbly Ducky, and I haven't fully decided, so I'll tell you what I can.

MONTHLY COLLECTIONS:

I love making a new collection of goodies each month! It's fun for me, and I think it's fun for you guys. Unfortunately, I'm only selling a small portion of what I make each month, so I have a ton of inventory and I'm low on supplies. Because of this, I'm suspending monthly collections for the time being, though I do have one left that you will see soon! Hopefully, I can figure out the marketing and bring them back eventually.

BUBBLE BOXES:

I created the Bubble Box subscription so that my most loyal customers could get new and sometimes exclusive products. If I'm not producing monthly collections, I can't send new things every month, so I'm suspending the subscriptions for now.

CRAFT SHOWS

I'm going to try to do these once a month, if possible. My next show is September 11 at Goekes in Florissant, and I hope to see some of you! I'm hoping for beautiful weather!

SUGAR SCRUBS

I've had a couple reports of leaking sugar scrubs. First, I'm really sorry! I try to use cheap containers and fill them with quality ingredients to keep the price down for you, but it backfired a little. The containers I use don't always handle heat well, apparently. I'm looking into new containers, but, for now, I'll only ship sugar scrubs on Mondays and Tuesdays when the temperature for the next few days appears to be moderate.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Well, that is the question, isn't it? I have two options in my mind:

1. The hobby approach - Kill the website, sell on Facebook, make things when I feel like it, and see if it slowly grows naturally.

2. The wholesale approach - create 5 or 6 collections that I keep in stock at all times. In addition to selling on my site and at craft fairs, solicit retailers to sell in their stores.

If you have an opinion, share it! I'm especially interested in which collections you would like to see me keep, create, or recreate if I decide to stick with a few core collections.

THE LAST MONTHLY COLLECTION

I do have a beautiful collection that I can't wait to share with you! However, my printer died and I can't print labels right now. I am considering releasing it in the next week anyway, without labels.
